Information about the VW T5.1 Camper Van VE12 XFF for sale

This is a 2012 T5.1 T32 2L TDI 180hp 'Go-Anywhere' spec'd camper van.

By having 4MOTION (VW's 4WD system) plus the factory fitted Diff Lock option it's guaranteed never to get stuck on slippy ground. Being a T32 variant it also has the heavier springs that takes the weight of a camper conversion much better also allowing it to traverse on uneven ground. It also drives great on wet grass, snow and ice. (I've never had the chance to try this camper off-road but check out some of the YouTube videos showing what a 4Motion T5 with Diff Lock is actually capable of).

This full camper van conversion has the popular 'Galley' configuration that gives a full unobstructed floor from front to back. The roof and walls are fully insulated behind the carpeted wall panels and the roof lining. The layout features a large 3-seat sofa with storage underneath that pulls out into a full size double bed 6ft long x 4ft wide. The sofa can be readily used as a single bed without pulling it out and compromising any of the floorspace. The sofa also has an adjustable rake backrest enabling it to be upright or sloping for comfort. Built-in high level dimmable LED strips can be colour changed to suit the mood, and there are also overhead reading lights.

Notes: The top picture shows the van fitted with its winter steel rims and plastic wheel trims, also the front grille has since been updated with a newer style glossy finish one. The cab radio/CD unit and the TV can also be played through the separately powered rear speaker system. There is under-bed storage, under-sink storage (although this is where the water tanks and gas canister are stored), overhead storage above the cab and along both sides, large and small storage areas below the microwave oven, and three large storage areas at the back which can be accessed from inside the vehicle via a roller door or from the back when the tailgate is lifted. The internal standing height is 5'1" to the roof lining or 5'6" within the rooflight area. Although the bed area when pulled out can extend to 6ft x 4ft the original sofa backrest cushions were changed for lower ones to make sitting on the sofa much more comfortable, but this does now reduce the 'cushioned' bed area to 6ft x 3'6" which is similar to a small double bed. The gas ring and the microwave oven are still brand new and have never been used due to the sites I've stopped at having their own eating places. The blinds on the Heki rooflight are jammed open, this was due to me leaving the rooflight open with the blind closed and the rain got to it. The engine is as per factory spec and has not been chipped or had any EGR or DPF deletes so it is fully MOT road legal. The engine is as sweet as a nut, uses no oil or water and is always a first time starter. I bought the vehicle in 2018 and the conversion work was done during lockdown in 2020 by Eurocab Coachworks and it was based on their 'LandTrekker' model so the conversion itself is only about 6 years old. I haven't been able to use it as much as I wanted since I had it converted due to work commitments so I have only covered about lowmiles in it myself since buying it.
